Welcome to the Lynbrook Instrument Music Program and the Lynbrook Instrumental Music Boosters (LIMB). Your student is joining an award-winning instrumental music program, one of the best in the Bay Area. Lynbrook musicians are prizewinners both individually and in ensembles. We invite you to be part of a successful and enjoyable instrumental music season.

The Lynbrook Instrumental Music Booster (LIMB) is the support structure of the Lynbrook Instrumental Music Program. LIMB is an organization founded for the sole purpose of supporting and benefiting the students enrolled in the instrumental music program at Lynbrook High School: Orchestra, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Color Guard, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Winter Guard, Winter Percussion, and Percussion Ensemble. We affirm the importance of music education and its enhancement of academic performance. LIMB activities are financed through fundraising, fees, and donations. When a student joins a Lynbrook Instrumental group, the parent automatically becomes a music booster.

You will receive a newsletter and email messages keeping you informed of upcoming events through out the school year.

LIMB performs many of the administrative and logistical functions of the music program. To assist the Director and students, LIMB must rely on the parent volunteers to raise funds, get students to performance venues, move equipment, coordinate meals, assign uniforms, and a multitude of other jobs

There are many ways in which the talents, imagination, creativity, and generosity of LIMB parents are needed throughout the year and you will be asked to volunteer for various committees and activities. Your participation is crucial to the on-going success of the program and your student's musical experience. You will find it to be a very rewarding way to spend quality time with your student. In our list of jobs , you will find many opportunities to be part of the LHS instrumental music program. With all the things LIMB does, a place can be found that fits you. As a parent and a LIMB volunteer, you will share in your child's pride and accomplishments.

One way we keep the LIMB parents up-to-date is by email. A free email announcement address through Yahoo! Groups has been set up for distribution of important information throughout the year in addition to our other traditional method of communicating.  With Yahoo Group you as the LIMB parent have control of your subscription to this unlisted LIMB Yahoo group.
